#NEWS: Flesh & Blood - The Hammer Heritage Of Horror Documentary Receives Director's Cut.
01/07/2016
Ted Newsom’s definitive documentary on Hammer Films - Flesh and Blood is treated to a director’s cut.
I talk about Hammer Films all the time on this blog, I’m a huge fan of the gothic horror style. I have a huge collection of movies from the studio like The Curse of Frankenstein, Dracula, The Vampire Lovers and more.
What I, and many others, consider the best documentary on the studio is the one by Ted Newsom called Flesh & Blood, The Hammer Heritage Of Horror.
Narrated by icons Christopher Lee and Peter Cushing, the movie delves into the rich history of the studio and features interviews with the stars, directors and producers of the films. While the original version of the movie is satisfying enough, now Ted has released an expanded, director’s version of Flesh and Blood which runs 138 minutes.
This is simply a brilliant films and I highly recommend it to anyone that is remotely interested in the subject matter.
