#VIDEO: Tanya Tate Talks To CraveOnline About The Dos and Don’ts of Cosplay From San Diego Comic Con 2014
When I was at San Diego Comic Con I chatted with my good friends at Crave Online and William Bibbiani about the The Dos and Don’ts of meeting a cosplayers at conventions. I have been cosplaying since 2010 and every year I go to loads of conventions in the US. So what are some of my thoughts on how people should approach cosplayers at cons? Hmm, you’ll have to watch the video:
LOL, there you go. I mentioned in the video that one of my pet peeves is being poked in the shoulder when trying to stop me for a picture. Argh. Just ask nicely. 9 out of 10 times I’ll stop and take some pics. Unless I am headed some where, I try to take pics w/people.
And unfortunately, that becomes an issue as well. I’m not at Comic Con just to be a mannequin. I’m there to not only cosplay but I have interviews, meetings, and other activities that are planned out so I don’t always have time to stop for pictures. Some people get upset. It’s unfortunate, and while I try to appease everyone, it’s just not possible.
So, what do you think of my Cosplay do’s and don’ts? What would you add? Leave me a comment below or you can always follow me on Twitter and hit me up there - @TanyaTate.
