HGG #COVERAGE: 36 Pictures From G-Fest 2014 Godzilla Convention!
07/20/2014
I was fortunate to make it out to the Godzilla convention in Chicago called G-fest last weekend. I was only able to hit the show for a couple of hours, I was actually working across the street at the Exxxotica convention, but I was able to grab some pictures. Check them out below:

Yo, who needs some 90's toys?
Like I mentioned, I was not there that long, so I didn’t get a chance to take in any of the panels or any of the screenings. And in retrospect, I think that is an important part of the G-Fest experience. Because, while it is a smaller show, the people who were there were really into it.
I pretty much haunted the dealers room where most of my pictures are from. I expected more types of Godzilla merch, most of what I saw was imported vinyl figures. Surprisingly, I only saw one Mattel Shogun Warriors Godzilla.
I was kinda on a quest for the “fat” King Kong from King Kong Vs. Godzilla. A few vendors had him but apparently he runs $100+. A little more than my pre-San Diego Comic Con budget would allow.
I walked away from the show with a couple of blind bag Godzilla figures from NECA that I thought my wife would dig.
Not too much cosplay, but I did see this awesome couple as Mothra and one of the Twin Fairies.
There was a fun area where a model city was built as part of a filming of a Kaiju movie filming/demonstration.
