The Vinylmation Silly Symphony Series was just released last week and the Skeleton Dance chaser has been an ultimate chase for Vinylmation addicts. I, myself have been excited about this series ever since the announcement. Most folks on the Facebook Vinylmation collecting & trading groups had no interest in this series at all. 95% of members said they would pass on this series. Probably because Walt Disney Silly Symphony was before their time and the characters in the series are unrecognizable to them. Well, until the Skeleton Dance chaser popped up on eBay and the auction ended at over $100! That got every body's attention. I've been collecting Vinylmation for a few years now and have never seen a new chaser go for that much on the second market. So, NOW everybody wants a piece of the Silly Symphony action!
I also think the the Halloween season has helped push this chaser over the top.
The rest of the series includes: Abner the Mouse (The Country Cousin, 1936), Ambrose (The Robber Kitten, 1935), Elmer Elephant (Elmer Elephant, 1936), Evil Tree (Flowers and Trees, 1932), Old King Cole (Mother Goose Melodies, 1931), Ugly Duckling (The Ugly Duckling, 1939), Boogey-Man (Lullaby Land, 1933) and of course The Skeleton Dance chaser from the 1929 short animated film.
The series comes blind-boxed and retails for $12.95ea. or a case of 16 for $207.20 which guarantees you one awesome chaser. Buy at the Parks or online at the Disney Store. Good Luck! Happy Haunting!
