Yes, E.T. is coming home, to your home anyway. On October 9, the 80's most popular alien makes it's Blu-Ray debut. You can get it on Blu-ray/DVD/Digital Copy combo pack  or you can go all out and get the Amazon US Exclusive E.T. Spaceship w/ BD Combo Pack. If it hadn't sold out already.

There are plenty of guests that slated to make an appearances from voice actors to toy designers to the creative minds behinds the television shows. The programming consists of video screenings, retrospectives by creators, signings and more.

I went last year, and while it is on the smaller side, those that came out were truly passionate about the being there. Every seminar was packed, people were enthusiastically talking about the product, it was a really cool vibe. Personally, while I can appreciate it, I'm not this biggest fan of He-man, but I got into the spirt of the show.

Cosplay queen Tanya Tate was there, dressed as She-ra no less and she has a video of her experience:

The Power-con is taking place at the Torrance Marriott South Bay on September 22nd and 23rd. If you are a fan, ticket and complete show info can be found on the show's official website. If you have a geek genre website and want to cover Power-con, get a move on and register TODAY!

NEWS: Avengers Sequel Release Date Announced - 2015

Avengers Sequel, Thanos, Iron Man, Captain America, Black Widow, Marvel Comics, Marvel Cinematic Universe, Thor, Hulk, Loki, Disney, Marvel, Superheroes, Avengers, Shield, Entertainment, Geek, Hollywood Gone Geek, Nerd, May 1st, 2015, Avengers 2

Well, that didn't take very long. It was announced today by Marvel/Disney that The Avengers sequel will be hitting theaters May 1st, 2015. While that may seem pretty far away, it's actually not considering how much build up the first movie had.

Iron Man and The Incredible Hulk both came out in 2008, which gave us four years and five movies (Iron Man 2, Captain America and Thor) to lead into The Avengers movie. Now with the 2015 release date, that gives Marvel only three years to come up with a concept and film the incredibly anticipated movie.

On the positive side, we have at least three Marvel Cinematic Universe movies to look forward to. Iron Man 3, Captain America: The Winter Soldier, and Thor: The Dark World all have release dates. There is a possible television series in the works. Guardians of the Galaxy and Ant-Man have also been announced.

So, it looks like Thanos will get his day in the sun; in 2015.

Any thoughts on what we can expect to see in The Avengers the sequel? Leave a comment below and let us know your thoughts.

VIDEO: MAN OF STEEL Teaser Trailers Are Here!

Superman Man of Steel 2013 Teaser Trailer Dc Comics Movie
Superman fans rejoice! The Man of Steel teaser trailer is out...or should I say "trailers," - plural - as there is an international version as well.

Let's take a look at them right here:

The teaser works perfectly giving you just enough to get you interested but still leaving you wanting more. My favorite part is the little kid wearing a cape and putting his hands on his hips striking the iconic Superman pose it's something we've all done and can relate to. We only catch the slightest glimpse of the Man of Steel in-flight.

Seeing this before The Dark Knight Rises, then watching it again online, it does look and feel part of that "realistic" universe. It would be very interesting to see what the futures will hold and what is part of the long term plans for this Superman will be.

Virtually identical to the one seen in the States, is the international version but with a different voiceover, the voice of Jor-El. If you have not seen that trailer have a look:

No real differences as far as visuals. But still, interesting all the same.

One thing I have seen online so, if someone has added the original John Williams score to the trailer which definitely gives one goosebumps. You can check that one out right here as well

Wow, that one gets me every time. It's going to be a long wait until the movie comes out of this can be a good one.

The Man of Steel takes flight June 14, 2013.
